Apple, the worldwide leader in technology, holds roughly 2-3 events per calendar year. Each event, focused on new and innovative releases of that year, is highly anticipated and rumored through the channels of tech insiders and individuals. Up until the recent pandemic, these events have been held in person, and one must receive an invite to attend the event. Because of current circumstances, Apple has recently produced a high-quality event that stands completely digital. However, this has not stopped the leader in technology from creating and displaying their cryptic posters/invites to modern culture.
As mentioned before, Apple has always created high concept invites that include some visual clue that represents the products, services, and software that they will be revealing when the show starts. For years, these invites and posters have been directed, and Apple’s March 8th event is no exception. Below is the official poster and invite that Apple has released prior to its upcoming online event.

Not only is Apple the world’s leader in technology, but its ability to capitalize and use marketing to its advantage is unmatched amount its competitors. While on the more subtle and minimalistic side, Apple has played with both color, typography, and language in their most recent invite. The most obvious clue in this invite is the wording of the caption itself. A play on the word “peek” insinuates that the audience will be peeking into the peak performance that Apple will be showcasing during this event.
It is rumored that Apple will reveal a new Mac Pro, Mac Display, capable of blowing the competition’s performance out of the water. The colors and imagery chosen for the centerpiece of the invite are similar to recent marketing Apple has used when advertising their new M1 chips, leading speculators to believe that the in-house chip Apple has developed will be getting more powerful.
Apple has also expanded the invite to other mediums, furthering its reach and presence in the market. The invite is capable with VR and AR technology, allowing for the individual to physically step into the logo. While we are still at the center of a public health crisis, Apple continues to produce high-quality marketing for its events and products.
