Last In-Class Critique

April 28th, 2022

Since our last collaborative class with professor Robins class occurred last week, it marked the time for us to begin finalizing our work for submission. In order to receive our final feedback, our design class completed our final in-class critique.

There are a few reasons why design classes perform large form critiques. The point is to primarily get critical feedback from your other peers. Having a fresh and new set of eyes on design work is beneficial and can offer suggestions that the designer may not have thought of. Secondly, participating in critiques, specifically, those that involve physically printing work out, allows for the designer to see their work together all at once and helps determine if their work is working as a collective system. When one is this late into the design process, critiques help squeeze out little changes that need to be altered to perfect your work. Below are images of our class’s final critique.

To our advantage, Profesor Wynn has designed the course itself to push us each and every week. From this, there were not many changes that were suggested to me. Of course, there were some spacing, alignment and, imagery alterations suggested that we discussed. However, the general design and approach to my work were seen as a successful working system. From these suggestions, I will begin to alter my work and finalize my pieces for the final presentation on May 10th.
